pattaya is on the east coast and in the gulf of thailand so luckley for the people here were no problems, however most thai people work in the tourist ind so most new of or had relitives etc that were caught up.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
That still remains in phucket today, everyone selling vidios of the disaster etc, very sad! &lt;br&gt;
